The Day Before

‘Tis the day before Thanksgiving And over the river we go

To families, friends, vacation spots

And those we love and know

We cook and clean and ready the house

For loved ones to descend

 

 

 

The cooking just goes on and on

Will it never end?

I doubt you’re even reading this you have too much to do

With Hanukkah thrown in the mix

Did you buy candles too?

 

 

 

 

 

The pies are cooling, veg is prepped      

The turkey’s in the brine

Now’s the time to take a break and sit and have some wine
