I have two rolling pins passed down to me from two grandmothers.
They are the type that have ball bearings, so should never be immersed in water!
If they get mucky from sticky dough, let the dough dry, and it should be easy to brush off, if not, take a dry green scrubbie, and gently scrub the pin
Otherwise, just give the pin a wipe with a damp sponge
If you have a dowel type pin, clean the same way- wood tools shouldn’t soak or go in the dishwasher, wash them off, and let dry.
