I met the chicken we had for dinner. My good friends Pat and John used to raise chickens. They roamed around behind their house, and had a coop out back. Those chickens had a nice life, they ate table scraps (vegetarian only), spent their days in the sun, they ran away from the dogs, and […]

I work from home, and have access to food all the time, and when I think I might feel hungry, I need to stop and ask myself ‘how hungry am I?’  This is a game you’re taught to play in almost any weight loss program.  It’s a test of the emergency emotional eating system, and […]

Rhonda @Wine-y-Wife - I can totally relate with the “how hungry am I” question, however, I’m always hungry for chips, that bread you have pictured looks delish (who needs butter?), and an apple is a fast snack around here all the time. Glad you added the cabbage in there…I’m rarely hungry enough to eat a cabbage…at least not before the cabbage gets a lot of help in the tasty department.ReplyCancel

You’ve seen her before, I call her Marilyn of Willendorf, which may be too obscure, but you can do a little Google searching if you’re curious, and on a bad day, this is how I see my body.  Though I do have arms, hands, and feet…  This is the second post about my body, and […]

Deb - I’m pretty sure that the bathroom scale is only good for one thing: obsessive self torture. As you noted, if we wear clothes or look in the mirror, we have a good enough idea about the state of our bodies.
I say take a hammer to the dang thing.ReplyCancel
