You can make the sauce ahead of time- and keep it in a thermos, or insulated container!
Warm the container first with hot water, when the sauce is ready pour out the water, let drip dry for a few seconds, and put the hot sauce into the thermos.
This should keep your sauce at serving temperature for a few hours, with no danger of having it break!
