Simple and Tasty Guacamole

guac

This is the best guacamole ever, and it is so simple!

2 Ripe Avocados- the best are the dark, thick skinned type; I prefer HAAS
1/2 Tomato seeds removed
1 Clove Garlic put in a press, or minced very fine
1/2 Sweet Onion diced very small
Juice of 1/2 Lime
3 TBL chopped cilantro
Salt
optional- 1 jalapeno diced fine, a few drops of hot sauce

Slice avocado in half lengthwise and twist to separate halves
To remove pit hit with a knife, twist the knife, and the pit should release easliy
Holding the avocado half in your palm, carefully cut diagonal slices in two directions*
Use a wooden spoon or spatula to scoop out the avocado
Add remaining ingredients and mix or mash with a potato masher to desired chunkiness

*You should feel the skin with the tip of your blade, do not press hard. Be careful, you do not want to cut the palm of your hand!
